Had a productive morning at the adult sewing workshop on inserting a zip. There are a number of different ways to do this and everyone has their own preferences. For this workshop I taught the adults how to use the zipper foot to sew the zip to the fabric for a lined purse. I also taught them an alternative way which is good if you want a zip on the back of a cushion. Hopefully I managed to dispel the myth that zips are something to avoid. They made some gorgeous purses which I hope they are proud of.
