I can’t believe we are nearly half way through the year already. During the Spring, the children made some fantastic little wall hangings and some lovely owl bookmarks for Book Week.
In the Easter holidays there were 3 workshops held. Two involved hand sewing and the other was an introduction to machine sewing for children. They learnt how to thread the machine and some simple stitches. They made a small, drawstring bag with the skills that they had learnt.
The Summer after school club is back in full swing and we are using bugs and insects as our inspiration. The children have been drawing and planning their bugs which they will then transfer onto fabric using some creative embroidery. Watch this space for the amazing results!
